Members will convene for two Summits at Columbia University (fall 2018 and spring 2019). The inaugural Summit: Future Proofing in the Data Age is set for October 18, 2018. This kickoff event will focus on future-proofing with a deep dive into how enterprise data can be used to enhance talent strategy, as well as the impact, opportunities and challenges of open source technology and data analytics.



The Data Science Institute at Columbia has a three-part mission that encapsulates the great promise this new field has to improve the quality of life for all. Their mission is:

  • To transform all fields, professions, and sectors through the application of data science;
  • To ensure the responsible use of data to benefit society.

The Data Science Institute at Columbia University is training the next generation of data scientists and developing innovative technology to serve society.
